Manufacturer- Hi-Tech is the manufacturer, you receive factory direct pricing every time. If you need any repairs or an emergency comes up, we can fix the problem right now, right on the spot.

Time- Because Hi-Tech Optical is the manufacturer, you don’t have to wait a week to get your eyeglasses back. We can get them out in 3-5 days or sooner!

Family- Hi-Tech Optical believes in family. The staff that makes up the Hi-Tech Optical family have all been here 5-30 years each! We have father/daughter co-workers, sister/sister co-workers, etc. Hi-Tech Optical wouldn’t be who they are without family.

Hi-Tech Optical-Contractor of the Year

Hi-Tech Optical, Inc. has been selected as the Saginaw Future Procurement Technical Assistance Center Contractor of the Year. The company is a manufacturer of prescription safety glasses and offers hundreds of styles of safety frames.

Hi-Tech Optical, located at 3139 Christy Way in Saginaw Charter Township, is a preferred eyewear supplier to several well known manufacturers.

Hi-Tech Optical recently was awarded a prescription safety glasses contract for the Department of the Navy valued at $1.8 million over a five-year period. The contract has led to the creation of four new jobs and the retention of 18 employees. The Saginaw Future PTAC assisted the company with bid preparation and research. In 2006, Hi-Tech Optical invested $198,500 in an expansion project that created five jobs.

Hi-Tech specializes in comprehensive, turnkey safety eyeglass programs. As one of the Midwest’s largest safety optical laboratories, the company serves employees and retirees of the nation’s largest industrial plants, as well as ophthalmologists and optometrists. Cost containment, verified eligibility, multiple location and Freedom of Choice doctor participation plans are among the programs offered.

In 1940, Columbus-based White Haines Co. opened an office in Saginaw, Michigan, and moved to the Christy Way location in 1971. In early 1987, a group of local investors teamed up to purchase the Saginaw office from White-Haines, and in doing so, formed Hi-Tech Optical, Inc.
